Croma sells its products through 3rd party online platforms as well as 500+ off line retail shops and dealers. Currently, the client does not have a reverse inventory warehouse management system creating the following challenges:
For lack of a returns management system, Croma brings inventory from across India to one central place. This not only results in additional logistics cost for high volume and low value products but also causes delay and increases risk of inventory shrinkage and value depreciation.
Today all records are maintained on multiple excel sheets making it very difficult for management to get a single and accurate view of the inventory across the network and take informed action. Also, it exposes the organization to potential compliance risks.
Currently, the client is using venue sale to unlock capital from unsold and returned items. This approach is slow, non-scalable and costly resulting in inventory accumulation and working capital choke.
